1. Adopt-A-School. A creative way to sell children's books to
schools – at no cost to them!
The budgets for schools have been slashed. Teachers and school
librarians cannot purchase much-needed books for their students. And
many businesses want to improve their images in the local economy.
How can these circumstances possibly help us sell your books?
In our affiliate's new sales program, 5000 sales reps call on businesses of
all sizes to “adopt” a local school. Then the company pays for the
schools to purchase books from the titles in our team's selection.
2) Who needs a book to cheer them up more than children in a
hospital?
Our affiliate's national team of sales representatives will call on hospitals in
their territories to help them create an in-hospital library to
provide books for their younger patients. They will initially
approach this opportunity in two ways:
A. Set up libraries in the hospitals. Each hospital will be
asked to start a library using the titles in our program. This can
be used to provide books to read to the children, or for them to
read themselves while they are confined to the hospital.
B. Give the children a book to take home with them. The
hospital can create significant goodwill – and some positive
exposure in the local community – by giving the child's favorite
book to him or her upon their departure. Of course, it will have the
hospital's logo plainly visible.
Here is how these programs work:
Our special bulk sales affiliate will promote these programs among our 5,000
commissioned salespeople through their monthly newsletter, semi-annual catalog, weekly email blasts, Showcase Events and the custom search
engine, ESP. These reps will call on businesses and schools in their
territories to coordinate the programs. They will also sell directly
to the children's hospitals.
Our affiliate will devote a special section on their website and catalog from
which the schools and hospitals may choose the children's books –
both fiction and nonfiction titles.
How much does it cost?
There is one set-up fee to be in both the Adopt-A-School and
children's hospital campaigns. That is $200 for the first title,
$150 for the second and $100 per additional title. ($25

We Place Your Fiction Title in Front of People Who May Be Able

Our agents expose your books, contact interested buyers and attempt to close
the sale.
As an author of fiction, you know the challenges of selling your
books to non-bookstore buyers. The time and effort involved is great

a program to do this for you by making your title(s) available to
buyers in special markets. This program is simple and inexpensive.
Our agents will produce a catalog for
fiction titles only. Your books will be displayed in a category
based upon subject matter and price.
These new catalogs are open to all fiction genres -- Mystery,
Adventure, Romance, Murder, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Children’s and
more.
They will be sent to marketing and management buyers as well as the
purchasing departments of 1000 companies who may have the
opportunity to purchase books for their passengers, customers or
patients in the following industries:
Cruise ships, passenger trains, travel agents/sites, bus tours,
airlines, military, hotels, limousine services, restaurants, B&Bs,
hospitals and others as appropriates to the titles in the catalog.
People read books while traveling, vacationing or as a convenience
in the case of travel agencies and hospitals. We will suggest your
book as a premium or gift to be given to people for doing business
with one of these companies.
Your catalog listing will show your book’s cover and a 40-word
description along with a discounted price for bulk orders. Our
agents will
buy books from you at 60% off the retail price. If you choose to
offer a deeper discount, we will feature it as a more attractive
item to purchase. Our agents sell bulk titles only. Case minimums will
apply. There are no returns and our agents will also pay the shipping
charges for each order.
The agents will follow-up with those companies and
buyers showing interest in your products. The agents are not offering the
service of detailed sales calls, but are offering to present your
titles and make corporations and businesses aware of them and of
their availability.
Summary Of How It Works
You pay the listing fee for one or more series of contacts. A series
is made up of two catalog mailings and follow up with a letter and
an email. Our agents attempt to close the sale and when that is done
we invoice the buyer on your behalf for the discounted amount plus
shipping.
